Terms of Use

Effective date: April 19, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SecurePassGuide.com (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Site. We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Site after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

SecurePassGuide.com provides a free, browser-based password generator that creates randomized passwords using the Web Crypto API. Users can configure password length, character types, and whether to exclude ambiguous characters. The Site also provides a simple strength indicator based on length and character variety. The Site is intended for general personal and professional use as a convenient password-generation utility.

3. No Security Guarantee

Password strength estimates shown on this Site are informational only and do not constitute a security guarantee. Strength ratings are based on simple heuristics (password length and number of active character types) and do not represent a formal cryptographic entropy calculation or a security certification of any kind.

The suitability of any generated password depends on many factors outside our control, including where and how you store and use the password, the security practices of the services where you use it, and evolving attack techniques. We make no guarantee that any generated password will protect your accounts from unauthorized access. You are solely responsible for evaluating the appropriateness of any generated password for your intended use case and for storing it securely using a reputable password manager.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including but not limited to text, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, graphics, and the SecurePassGuide name and branding, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Site without our prior written consent, except for personal, non-commercial use.

5. User Conduct

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict or inhibit anyone’s use or enjoyment of the Site. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its related systems.
  • Using the Site to generate passwords for fraudulent, criminal, or unauthorized access purposes.
  • Using automated tools to submit large volumes of requests that burden Site infrastructure.
  • Distributing malware, spam, or harmful content through or in connection with the Site.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and all content and tools it provides are offered “as is” and “as available” without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, security, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SecurePassGuide.com, its owners, operators, and contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of or inability to use the Site, including but not limited to account compromises, data breaches, unauthorized access to accounts using passwords generated by this Site, or loss of data. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Site shall not exceed the greater of $10 USD or the amount you paid to use the Site (which is zero, as the Site is free).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations of liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

8. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or availability. Links do not constitute endorsement of any third-party site or service.
