About SecurePassGuide
SecurePassGuide.com is a free, ad-supported password generator that creates strong, randomized passwords instantly in your browser. No account is required and no generated passwords are ever stored or transmitted.
What this tool does
The generator lets you create strong passwords with full control over:
- Length — choose anywhere from 8 to 40 characters.
- Character types — uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols can each be toggled on or off.
- Ambiguous character exclusion — optionally remove lookalike characters such as
O/0orl/1to make passwords easier to read and type manually. - Strength indicator — a simple meter and label give you a quick read on the relative strength of the generated password based on length and character variety.
Why it exists
Reusing weak passwords is one of the most common security mistakes. SecurePassGuide.com exists to make it fast and easy to generate a strong, unique password whenever you need one — without signing up for anything or trusting a server with sensitive data.
How it works
All password generation happens entirely in your browser using the Web Crypto API (crypto.getRandomValues()), which provides cryptographically secure randomness. When you click Generate, the password is built locally on your device and displayed directly in the input field.
Nothing is sent to a server. Nothing is logged. Nothing is stored. Your generated passwords exist only in your browser tab until you copy and close the page.
Commitment to accuracy
The strength estimates are based on password length and the number of active character types. These are informational indicators — they do not constitute a security guarantee or a formal entropy calculation. Password strength always depends on how and where you use a password. We recommend storing generated passwords in a reputable password manager.
