Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 19, 2026

SecurePassGuide.com (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website at securepassguide.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Password generator inputs and outputs

When you use the password generator, your configuration choices (length, character types) and any generated passwords are processed entirely within your browser using the Web Crypto API (crypto.getRandomValues()). Generated passwords are never transmitted to our servers, stored in any database, or shared with any third party. All generation runs locally on your device. We have no access to any passwords you generate.

Automatically collected data

Like most websites, we automatically receive standard technical information when you visit the Site. This may include your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit. This data is collected through the third-party analytics and advertising services described below.

2. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the Site. GA4 collects anonymized usage data including page views, session duration, device type, browser, general geographic region, and interaction events. This data helps us improve the Site. Google Analytics does not receive any passwords or generator settings you use.

Google may use this data in accordance with its own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

3. Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on the Site. AdSense may use cookies, web beacons, and the DoubleClick cookie to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site and other websites. Google uses this information to show you ads that may be relevant to your interests.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info/choices. Google’s advertising privacy practices are described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

4. Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. We do not set cookies ourselves for functional or tracking purposes. However, Google Analytics and Google AdSense set their own cookies to operate their respective services. These may include:

  • Analytics cookies (e.g., _ga, _gid) — used by Google Analytics to distinguish users and sessions.
  • Advertising cookies (e.g., the DoubleClick cookie) — used by Google AdSense to show relevant ads and measure ad performance.

You can disable cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may affect how some parts of the Site or third-party services function. Most browsers allow you to refuse new cookies, accept or decline cookies case by case, or delete existing cookies. Refer to your browser’s help documentation for instructions.

We also store a cookie-consent preference in your browser’s localStorage to remember whether you have accepted or declined our cookie banner.

5. How We Use Information

We use automatically collected and analytics data to:

  • Understand how visitors use and navigate the Site.
  • Identify technical issues and improve Site performance.
  • Display relevant advertisements through Google AdSense.

We do not use any data to build personal profiles, make automated decisions about you, or sell your information to third parties.

6. Data Retention

We do not retain your generator inputs or any generated passwords. Analytics data collected through Google Analytics is retained according to Google’s default retention settings (typically 14 months for user-level data, unless modified in the GA4 property settings). Advertising data collected by Google AdSense is retained per Google’s policies.

7. GDPR Rights (European Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable local law:

  • Right of access — you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — you may request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Right to erasure — you may request deletion of personal data we hold.
  • Right to restrict processing — you may request that we limit how we use your data.
  • Right to data portability — you may request a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object — you may object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@securepassguide.com. We will respond within 30 days. Note that because we do not collect or store your generated passwords, we do not hold that personal data to act upon. For data held by Google, please contact Google directly.

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

  • Right to know — you may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Right to delete — you may request deletion of personal information we have collected from you.
  • Right to opt out of sale — we do not sell personal information. No opt-out action is required.
